FIQL Pick 46 Best Acoustic Songs Ever!!!!
[Updated on June 2, 2007] Great amounts of time and pain were invested in the creation of this palateable playlist, which encompasses a wide range of acoustic-driven rock that will take you from bright Spring-time day with sun in your face to the long, empty, and dreary expanses along the boredom horizon -- and then back to happiness again by the closing song!

Playlist should burn onto 2 CD's if arranged in WMP in the proper order.

Way too many repeated artists. 15/45 of the songs are by Collective Soul... Take a more unbiased approach to it next time. Only 16 artists, meaning each artist has about 3 songs on this playlist. It is a good playlist, just shouldn't be called the BEST acoustic songs. For that, you need to look at a wide genre of music, as well as a wide variety of artists.

Jealous?
Submitted by SludgeRokr on Jun. 2, 2007

I agree with vox. I would probably want to add Godsmack's acoustic version of "Re-Align" to the playlist as well as the classic Radiohead acoustic version of "Creep". Over all, nice playlist though.

Great playlist! I'm always looking for that reminder of how much I love a song and this playlist did it for me at least 5 or 6 times. I love so much music from the 50s on up that's not heavy metal or rap and there's so much out there and so many years covered that it's been a project to gather it all into one place...a fun project nonetheless. Thanks for making my day!

How do you copy it to CD??
Submitted by Treeman18 on Sep. 19, 2008

Hey...good list here, impressed with the choices, scott stapp and howie day in particular. Collective soul are a great band, however they seem to be dominating the majority of this playlist ;) How about more lifehouse?
Submitted by newjersey5 on Nov. 1, 2008

And perhaps Newton Faulkner will fit the bill? :) Good work x
Submitted by newjersey5 on Nov. 1, 2008

haha theres only twenty songs! aren't there supposed to be 46?? the 20 are pretty good but it'd be better if there was the extra 26 missing songs! just a thought.

Simple Man-Shinedown? Plush-STP? Heart Shaped Box-Nirvna? Layla-Eric Clapton? 3 AM-Matchbox 20? Tuesday's Gone-Metallica? While not knocking your list, you need to broaden your horizons beyond Collective Soul, Alterbridge, and Scott Stapp.

Good list but there are a couple good acoustic songs that I really like that are missing : Hero of War and Swing Life Away both by Rise Against. I know I know they are more of a punk band but those songs are both acoustic and beautiful. You should give them a listen.

Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash by themselves recorded 46 songs better than these. Also, have you ever listend to Bob Marley? Nirvana's acoustic album? Eric Clapton? Do you know what bluegrass is? Jakob Dylan has a nice acoustic album out right now too. Oi...this list makes me sad. Collective Soul and Scott Stapp???? Really???? Shoulda' been called the 46 cheesiest songs of all time.

I definately agree with sboardwine. This playlist is freaking terrible. How bad is it? bad enough that i found this page by typing in "best acoustic guitar songs" into google, found this page, and bothered to register just so i could tell you that your music list is disgusting. First of all, what kind of woman are you that you have sixpence none the richer on there? Really, man? are you serious? best acoustic songs? how bout some crazy on you? tears in heaven? house of the rising sun? Anything by the gipsy kings...how dare you list scott stapp or creed anywhere on the top anything, what are you freaking mormon? half of the bands you listed are the same band. Creed, nickelback, the calling, lifehouse...theyre all the same shitty band. I thought this was best acoustic songs. clearly i was mistaken. Please, please, please, find new music that doesn't suck, or kill yourself as soon as possible.

I think the name of this list was supposed to be 46(20) Best Famous Mainstream Alternative Rock 90s-00s Acoustic Guitar Songs. I cam to this list expecting to see real guitar players: Don Ross, Eric Johnson, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Steven Bennett, Amdy McKee, Dave Matthews + Tim Reynolds, Yngwie Malmsteen, Erik Mongraine, Acoustic Alchemy, Michael Hedges, Paco De Luicia, Leo Kottke, Billy McLaughlin, Andrew York etc. I guess I will have to make my own list.
