I'd leave my top 3, but it seems that every couple of months, my view of music changes just a bit, and with it my top 3 would change. But, for the sake of the post.....
1. Dear Mama - 2Pac
2. Hotel California - Eagles ( My uncle was a producer on it, and I like it)
3. Rico Suave....just kidding....Hey Jude - The Beatles

Blender Link

I don't necessarily agree with all of the choices on Blender's list, but I might not have found Run-D.M.C.'s 'Sucker Emcees' without it.

My Five: (Deciding was some shade of extremely hard.)

1. Led Zeppelin - Since I've Been Loving You
2. Simon & Garfunkel - America
3. Red Hot Chili Peppers - I Could Have Lied
4. Neil Young - Cortez The Killer
5. The Jimi Hendrix Experience - If 6 Was 9

Best songs of all timez

ummm my 3 are probably

David Bowie - Space Oddity

Radiohead - High and Dry

Pavement - Shady Lane or Summer Babe
(and as I always Include)
This Charming Man - The Smiths

PAVEMENT--I included pavement, because respectively they paved (ignore the pun) the way for the 90's north american independant/indie scene and their influence is still seen highly in music whether it be on the MTV or in other underground music. When stephen malkumus and pavement released crooked rain in '98, they were courted by big labels, MTV and accepted by the alternative/independant music community, which in my mind makes them hugely important to todays music scene

THE SMITHS---Basicallly what pavement did for the north american 90's scene, The smiths did for the 80's independant scene, but their reach was felt even hear in north america. The Queen is Dead had a huge impact on the social strucutre and musics of the time and along with other bands modeling around a darker new way approach they found a way into the music scene and influenced many up and coming bands. Although long since disbanded, morrissey persists with his own blend of music and it's not uncommon to find people with different musical tastes all sharing a love for the smiths

Radiohead----Thom Yorke has left a huge indent on music with ranges from beautiful guitar melodies to computer generated vioves cuh as heard in Fitter Happier. Like I said with the smiths, people who would listen to different genres tend to embrace radiohea's collection with open arms. Their crossing of genres and exploring new boundries with other albums like Kid A , when other bands refused to explore their talent gave them huge cred with fans everywhere. For being a bridge and never stopping to amaze , Radiohead has a seat as one of the best ever.

David Bowie---The song I posted as one of the best is space oddity, which is possibly my favourite bowie track. Others have different ones, and that's the greatest part of Bowie and all these other artists, they all have the ability to step out of one persona and into the other. Bowie could go from the bisexual alien from mars to his more classic "change" approach.
Like a chameleon bowie knew how to blend with the changing music scene. His music has never dissapointed me so I put him as one of the best of all time with his song Space oddity.
