The Return Of Indie Indie Everywhere

Last year made a playlist of 47 indie artists, alphabetically. This year continues the saga with 50 more artists I thought were pretty grand. I am now done with the "E's" and will continue my great journey through Wikipedia's list of indie artists. Be prepared for more. I still have the rest of the alphabet to go through.

Pieces Of Me

Every "moment" in my life can be related to a song. I can hear a song and it makes me think of that moment. Every moment from an awesome day hanging out with friends as a teenager, break-ups, make-ups, deaths, births, breakdowns, everything is a song. This is the first of the series of Pieces of Me. Everything from Metallica to 50 cent to Lifehouse.

A Day In The Life Of A 90's Teen

Random songs that bring me back to hot summers and good times growing up in Baton Rouge in the 1990's. Makes me think of Don Carter's, Fun Fair Park, 2010 / The Zoo, The Broadmoor Theater, The Texas Club, LSU tailgating, and on into college at SLU. I can almost taste the Strawberry Hill, Miller Lite and Hurricane's. Too bad they don't have drive-thru daiquiri shops outside of BR and New Orleans!! It sure sucks getting old...

Autumn Morning III

Here we are again, the third year I've comprised a playlist of music that represents this season to me. It's the only time of year where everything is so beautiful, yet it's dying. And it's great to have music to help remind you of those quiet moments, mellow and beautiful.

The Classics

This playlist is very dear to me, when i was younger me and my dad never really communicated well, the job he had he was always on the road and i never understood why. He was really into music, that's all he did when he returned home. At the time i never really understood why we never communicated then finally it hit me music can be happy or sad, good or great and the way i felt about my dad was indescribable until i started listening to his vinyls. When i got older we realized the only way we could communicate was through music, and these are a few of those songs that we used to sit down and not speak a word and just listen to the music flow around us. We never understood each other kinda like how music is invisible but everywhere. Now we are the closets we have ever been all because of music. i decided to share this with all of you because if there's someone out there that you don't get along with or they don't understand you, music is always the way to understand. its a universal way of communication.
These songs are considered classic rock because they were recorded way before auto-tune that makes artists today sound perfect, but on reality they sound nothing like themselves. These are also classic rock because they were once big hits and they are still played on classic rock radio stations they are just awesome and should be known by everyone. classic rock is one of the greatest genres out there because it was just their natural voices and real guitar and real drums not the drums on the electric keyboard, the actual thing, its just complete awesomeness.
So here is my playlist for you, take it or leave it. If i were you i'd give it a chance, it is the great classics after all.

Response To 1984 And Brave New World

I recently read 1984 and Brave New World, and I'm writing a short story (amongst other things) to reflect my feelings. I don't have all these songs on my iPod, so I'm using this to make a playlist for the story.

As you can see, I still cannot get over the Perks of Being a Wallflower.
But these are songs that I would like to create into memoirs one day.

Haunt Me

These songs leave a trail of goosebumps like hitting a cold patch of air on a balmy summer night. Their melodies and lyrics creep slowly into your soul and before you know it, you're haunted.
