A Day In The Life Of A 90's Teen
Random songs that bring me back to hot summers and good times growing up in Baton Rouge in the 1990's. Makes me think of Don Carter's, Fun Fair Park, 2010 / The Zoo, The Broadmoor Theater, The Texas Club, LSU tailgating, and on into college at SLU. I can almost taste the Strawberry Hill, Miller Lite and Hurricane's. Too bad they don't have drive-thru daiquiri shops outside of BR and New Orleans!! It sure sucks getting old...

Autumn Morning III
Here we are again, the third year I've comprised a playlist of music that represents this season to me. It's the only time of year where everything is so beautiful, yet it's dying. And it's great to have music to help remind you of those quiet moments, mellow and beautiful.
Featuring: The Last Bison, El Ten Eleven, Explosions In The Sky, St. Vincent, Foxhole

The Classics
This playlist is very dear to me, when i was younger me and my dad never really communicated well, the job he had he was always on the road and i never understood why. He was really into music, that's all he did when he returned home. At the time i never really understood why we never communicated then finally it hit me music can be happy or sad, good or great and the way i felt about my dad was indescribable until i started listening to his vinyls. When i got older we realized the only way we could communicate was through music, and these are a few of those songs that we used to sit down and not speak a word and just listen to the music flow around us. We never understood each other kinda like how music is invisible but everywhere. Now we are the closets we have ever been all because of music. i decided to share this with all of you because if there's someone out the...

Response To 1984 And Brave New World
I recently read 1984 and Brave New World, and I'm writing a short story (amongst other things) to reflect my feelings. I don't have all these songs on my iPod, so I'm using this to make a playlist for the story.

Short And Sweet Indie Rock
I'm not a fan of bloated playlists with a ton of filler. In making this playlist I tried to pick songs that the general populace probably hasn't heard, picking songs I believe are among the best from each band. Granted everything is relative, but I think these songs are able to give a great perception on each band and help those who haven't had a chance to hear them discover something new. After all, nothing is more exciting than the experience of discovery. Hope you enjoy!

Give You My Lovin'
It's hard to find good pre-made mixtapes to make out to these days - I don't feel like getting down to Rhianna - can ya dig? There's something genuinely sexy about soft songs. They provide the backup, you're the stars.
Featuring: Air, The Cure, R.e.m., Pearl Jam, Patti Smith

Perfect Beach/Poolside Summer Jams 2012
This is the critical list for 2012's summer songs that go well with the surf, sun, and relaxation. Laying by the pool, walking down the boardwalk, or just hanging out in your hotel room. I used this playlist to ignore all the loud tourists and other beach nuisances. Nothing beat just laying by the pool with the palm trees above my head and not a cloud in the sky.

Glam/Hair Metal Mayhem
In honour of the upcoming hair metal musical Rock of Ages, here's what I consider to be the very best of the genre. I tried to stick to a high energy playlist, although I'm certainly not discounting the ballads! They'll be on a separate one I plan to do in the future. I also only featured one song from each band so as to provide a real cross-section. You have your well-known hits, headbanging anthems, and some underrated and often overlooked songs.
Although dismissed by some as fluffy or unimportant, this music featured some of the best guitarists and voices that rock has ever seen. Despite being clad in hilarious outfits and over-the-top makeup, these bands were truly talented and deserve to be remembered.

25 Songs That Shaped My Music Taste
I know I am only 14, but these songs hold a very special place in my heart. Many of my memories are of me being little, waking up on a Saturday morning, hearing my dad making breakfast and playing these songs. I didn't know who sang them, but I loved each song. Now I know who sang them, and I don't love them any less. These songs make me feel all teary and happy when I listen to them. I hope you feel that way too.

Airport Affliction Vol 2
I will continue to stipulate that the airport is THE simultaneous enemy and ally of love. Long distance love is the true embodiment of yearning to breathe. There is nothing so accessible as the feeling of ecstatic electricity when a pair of strange lips are once-again reunited in an airport concourse--it's palpable...and when hands touch and bodies meet, electricity ignites a fireworks display that would make Lady Liberty blush (c. 1976). It is as though the airport itself is taking on the role of relationship facilitator/equalizer; it has done nothing to earn such a title (my opinion).
But in what can only be described as one of life's great paradoxes, the airport giveth and the airport taketh away. The same energy that is infused upon arrival is extracted in an inhumane and excruciating manner upon departure. The touch and feel of a lover is mindlessl...

[[The 1990's-2000's - Back To The Playground]]
"He sings the songs that remind him of the good times, He sings the songs that remind him of the best times"
Anyone who remembers the “musical gems" of the 90’s/early 2000's will surely treasure this playlist. Think back to your school discos, the girls dancing to Sonique's "It Feels So Good" and then everyone lining up ready to do the Macarena. This features songs from all different genres, and features some lesser known artists. but they are brilliant none the less. This playlists sums up that magical era.
Ladies and gentleman, I present to you with great pleasure; The 1990’s/Early 2000's.
